NAHREP Event "Battle of Brokers"

I attended the National Association of hispanic in real estate Professionals event, where they had great panelist, great networking, music and gave awards away, it was a great event where we got to learn and had a chance to ask questions to the experts in mortgage lending.

NAHREP® Naples Chapter provides community outreach, industry educational and business networking events

We had the opportunity to learn from the panelist of experts:

Cristina Payero - New American Funding

Lauren Maxwell - Maxwell Mortgage Team

Giovanni Matita - NRL Mortgage

Roberto Diaz - Supreme Lending

My biggest take aways from this event:

  1. Let the experts take care of the financial stuff, and go sell another house
  2. We learn about different products and programs available (like Desantis program, home renovation program, etc.)
  3. The importance of picking a good title company
  4. Setting proper expectation
  5. The importance of having a good CRM to follow up with customers
  6. How to overcome the objection "I am going to wait to purchase a house"

I want to take a moment on the last point, where they highlighted the importance of being a homeowner and stop paying high monthly payments in RENT, since rent is going up, then they were asked where the market is going, they replied, nobody has a crystal ball, but the interest rates might still go up to 7%, and next year 2023, come back down to 5% (that's a personal opinion). So right now is a good time to buy still and to sell, since the market is shifting.

If  you are a hispanic realtor in the area, I would encourage you to get involved with this association, it's a great Networking opportunity and you will learn a lot!!

As always if you find value in this article, please share! specially to your fellow hispanic realtors!!

Wish you the best in your reals Estate career,
